The Meaning

DARKNESS OF THE MIND dismantles the myth of confidence.

It exposes fear as a companion, not a barrier. Something to be acknowledged, not eliminated. The dangerous lie isn’t that fear exists. It’s that confident people don’t feel it. They do. They just don’t let it make the decision.

Confidence is not a prerequisite. It is a result.

Every meaningful step forward is preceded by the same internal darkness: the doubt, the imagined failure, the anticipation that is always worse than the thing itself. This piece does not promise that darkness goes away. It argues that moving through it is the only way to prove it was never the threat you thought it was.

Courage isn’t the absence of fear. It’s action in its presence.

The Composition
